Windows 10: Upgrading to win 11 via MS Installation Assistant.

I just installed Windows 11 via MS installation assistant. After completing 100% it prompted for restart. During restart my laptop was stuck while loading BIOS so I had to force restart it. Now I am back to my Windows 10, trying to run the same procedure of installation again. Is there a shorter way, since the installation was completed ?

Windows 10 upgrade assistant stuck at 99%

The problem is caused by the Windows 7 updates.

Before using the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant, perform these steps:

• set Windows 7 updates to "Never install updates".
  
• Stop the update service by right clicking on the command prompt, and choose "Run as administrator".
  
• Type
  
  
  It should say: "Windows update service is stopping....windows update service is stopped."
  
  
  
  

After completing the above steps, start the Windows 10 Upgrade assistant, and it should complete.

 

IE 11 won't load, white screen, after win 10 upgrade.

I have this issue as well and noted it in another post. None of the MS support suggestions work.

The issue is that ever since I upgraded to Windows 10, IE 11 will only display web pages that are listed in the "compatibility view." Obviously we cannot add every web page to the compatibility view list. Is there a way to force IE 11 to open all web pages
in compatibility view? I am not expecting an answer really but since upgrading Windows 10, I have been forced by Microsoft to adopt a new browser. So, now I use Chrome for everything.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to go to Manufacturer web site and download and install the latest chipset driver for your device and check if it helps.

Step 2: I suggest you to check for the Windows updates and install all the updates.

  Press Windows logo key +R, enter
  MS-settings: and then press OK. This opens Settings.
  
• 
  In Settings, go to Update & security >
  Windows Update, and then select Check for updates. Install any available updates and restart your PC if required.
