i tried those settings but everytime i do them rufus says it had a formatting error,i tried formatting the usb to ntfs and it didnt work

Let's try something, I want you to format the usb stick from Windows, we are not going to add anything to it, we are just going to format it Fat32, try that and less us know what happens.

And to make sure we get everything off the usb stick, delete it down to unallocated space, Choose Delete Volume to do that, then create a New Simple Volume and Format it Fat32.

After that is done use the drop down again to mark it Active.

It should look like this when you are done.

 

can use uefi on my bios?,my current bios mode is legacy,i tried to turn it to uefi but it said no bootable device,i google my bios model and the model was based on uefi,does this mean my bios can handle uefi?

 

Wow, you are so confusing, if your Bios is UEFI and Legacy, you can choose whichever you want, you have to decide what you want it be, then you have to save changes (F5) and then exit (F10) the Bios.

If you want a UEFI install then your Windows 7 drive has to be GPT, if it`s MBR you will have to convert it from MBR to GPT.

Open Disk Management.

Right click the box I have marked with an arrow and then click Properties, then click the Volumes tab to determine what your disk is now, either MBR or GPT.

 

Personally I would install Legacy/MBR, there is no benefit with UEFI when it comes to an installed Windows, in my opinion.

I never install windows in UEFI mode. But that is just my choice.

 

i tried to to use mbr2gpt to convert my mbr to gpt and it said ERROR: MBR2GPT can only be used from the Windows Preinstallation Environment. Use /allowFullOS to override.

 

Why do you want to convert it, just install in Legacy mode on your MBR Disk.

i dont really want to convert it,everytime i use rufus to mount the iso using the first option with ntfs,it gives me an error called unknown formatting error

 

I want you to delete and then format the USB stick like I explained in reply #16, then post your results.

And it wont format to FAT32 either.
