    Upgrading to Windows 11 during installation causes an unresponsive black screen


    Yesterday I've tried upgrading my Windows 10 Pro installation to Windows 11. My PC did meet all the requirements to upgrade my specs are listed here and I do have TPM 2.0 and secure boot enabled. The update assistant downloaded the upgrade without any problems. After restarting the PC to finish installing Windows 11, I get to 30% and my PC restarts as usual. After the restart, the installation gets to ~50% and it black screens and no, I do not mean the black screen of death. It's unresponsive, judging by the fact that my Caps Lock and Num Lock keys don't light up and the PC gets

    Please provide more information to help you better:

    • Are you getting black screen before sign in or after sign in?
    • Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
    • Have you installed all the pending Windows updates?
