Windows 10: Upgrading to Windows 11 pro/Enterprise subscription from a digital windows 11 home license...

We have a bunch of HP and Dell Laptops bundled with Windows 11 home/pro. Since we are acquiring more devices globally we would need an easier management of Windows 11 distribution. Toward that , We have decided to homogenize Windows across all devices to Windows 11 Enterprise. This would need an upgrade from the current os. We are looking to purchase Windows 11 Enterprise on a subscription basis. Some quesitons before we do this : 1 What is the process to upgrade the endpoints to Windows 11 Enterprise subscription? Is there a downtime to it ? Is the device available in the upgrade ?2 How

Windows 11 Home to Pro upgrade

Want to upgrade 11 Home to 11 Pro. Tried download, but apparently files transferred were for 11 Enterprise. This will not activate; error is "invalid digital license or product key". This is on a new Surface. How to proceed?

Can withdraw/delete this. The suggestion to downgrade - listed below - with a 'fake' windows 10 key works.

 

Windows 11 Pro for Workstations upgrade is not activated on digital license

Purchased the Windows 11 Pro for Workstations upgrade. First time upgrade was successful. Now my digital license only shows Windows 11 Home. How do I reconcile the upgrade to my digital license?

 

Upgrade Windows 11 Home to Enterprise

Hi everyone,

I have a Surface Pro 9 which came with Windows 11 Home edition. I would like to upgrade this to Windows 11 Enterprise.

I own a Windows 11 Pro Licence. I am also entitled to use Windows 11 Enterprise through our M365 E3 Subscription.

I thought I could just remove Windows 11 Home edition. Install Windows 11 Pro using the licence I own, and then upgrade to Windows 11 Enterprise but someone has suggested to me that this breaches the licencing agreement because the Surface Pro did not originally come with Windows 11 Pro or Windows 11 Enterprise. This sounds a little daft to me and I am struggling to find the T&Cs to verify. Does anyone happen to know if this is true please, or am I free to do as I planned?
