Windows 10: Upgrading to Windows 11 Pro on Microsoft Store leads to Upgrade failed 0x80070490

I recently bought windows 11 Pro on the Microsoft Store and kept running to this error code every time I tried to install it. I've been self-troubleshooting for a while but I can't seem to fix it, here's a list of what I've tried:- windows update troubleshooter- reinstalling an update to hopefully let it correct itself- sfc and dism commands- attempting to install on a clean-boot- resetting windows update componentsAt this point, I'm at a loss for what to do, and I am afraid that this would lead me to needing to reset my windows 11 or something, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows 11 Home to Pro upgrade failed with 0x80070490

I am trying to upgrade Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro, but the upgrade failed (0x80070490).

 

Windows 11 Home to Pro upgrade bought in Microsoft Store fails to upgrade my laptop.

I have Windows 11 Home and purchased the Pro upgrade through the Microsoft store. I keep getting Windows upgrade failed Error Code:0x80070490. I tried using the generic key but that fails as well. My Microsoft account shows I paid for the upgrade Home to Pro, but it shows my Lenovo Laptop is still a Home Account. How do I fix this issue?

I was upgrading a new Win 11 Home PC to Win 11 Pro from the Microsoft store.

During the install I also got the 0x80070490 error. After a reboot I had Windows 11 Enterprise installed and said it was Activated??? The next day Microsoft must have detected their error and deactivated my system. Still showed Win 11 Enterprise.

Tried the suggested generic product code and a few reboots later I still see Win 11 Pro is activated.

Seems too good to be true...
