Upgrading Window 10 Education fail due to double product key activation

    Hi,

As my campus allow their students to upgrade their Window 10 Home or Pro to Window 10 Education,

I activated the product key to one of my notebook success. Then I activated the same product key to another notebook fail, without knowing that it can be used to activate for only one computer.

And now I cannot get back to my previous version of Window 10. It is shown in “Setting” > “Update and Security” > “Activation”

Then I tried reset the Notebook via Setting > Update&Secuity > Recovery > Reset this PC > Remove everything. However, it did not work. The System is still Window 10 Education Inactivated, as a result of that, some functions does not work the system will ask for Window Activation.

Could you please give me some solution to this issues.

    Regards,

    Tommy

    :)

Windows 10 Home to Education Upgrade Failing

I tried the interim step of the "default product key" above, but the failure symptom is exactly the same: everything looks good right up AFTER the machine restarts and the error "failed to upgrade" appears.

By the way, I have my anti-malware software (ESET) turned off during all of this, makes no difference in solving the problem, so that's not the cause.

Trying to upgrade from Win10 Home ver 1703 build 15063.674, to Win10 Education with new license key, upgrade failure error message after automatic reboot.

DOWNLOAD WINDOWS 10 NOW - Upgrade and ISO direct from microsoft

this search might help you https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sou...o+to+get+it+activated+windows+10+blocked+keys

    From http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/why-activate-windows-10

If you upgraded to Windows 10 for free and ended up in a non-activated state, try following these steps:

    • Go to Start
Upgrading Window 10 Education fail due to double product key activation [IMG]
, then select Settings > Update & security > Activation.
    • Select Go to Store, and check to see if a valid license is available for your device. If a license isn't available, you'll need to buy Windows from the Store.

      Note
      • This only applies if you haven't made changes to the hardware for your device.

or you could hack it with a crack but please note this is always risky and you don't know what's in the hack

Windows 10 Home to Education Upgrade Failing

    Dear Community,

I've recently purchased a laptop (MSI GS60) which came with Windows 10 Home. As a student attending a university, I obtained a free copy of Windows 10 Education from the
OnTheHub program, which comes with a product key and ISO file. I would like to upgrade Windows 10 Home to Education on my laptop to have the extra features of the Education version. However,
Windows fails to perform an in-place upgrade with no error codes/messages.

I've tried going to Settings > Updates > Activation > Change Product Key and entering the product key for Windows 10 Education. Upon verifying the key, it brings me to an upgrade notice, which continues to a progress screen. It will go from 10% to 100% in
seconds, then will reboot the laptop. After logging back in, I receive a notice that Windows "can't upgrade, contact your local administrator..." and brings me to a generic Windows 10 Upgrade help page. I've tried this several times with my product key and
even with generic product keys (for the sake of testing), but every time the update fails (no error code, just that generic help page).

If possible, I would like to perform an in-place upgrade to keep the MSI OEM software and files intact. I would resort to a clean install as a last resort. Please let me know what else I can try to get Windows 10 to perform the in-place upgrade successfully.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

    Regards,
