  1. Upgrading?

I don't want to lose my Windows 7 so I have Windows 2000 Full, Vista upgrade, Windows 7 upgrade, Windows 8 upgrade, so I figure I somehow put in Windows 8 upgrade however I get a message saying "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style" I think I know why is because I had the BATA Windows 10 on this disk and I can't delete 2 of the partitions. What can I do?

    :)

  2. Upgradings Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10 Pro? Or just Windows 10?

I've been unable to find any information on this, but my PC is currently running Windows 8.1 Pro; what will happen if I upgrade to Windows 10? Will it be the same version that people with regular Windows 8.1 upgrade to? Or will it upgrade to Windows
10 Pro, if that even exists?

    Upgrading?

Do you have two disks and you are trying to install Windows 8 on the second disk? The problem is the you have an UEFI Bios, and however you got into Windows 8 setup, you got into it in legacy boot mode. You need to boot Windows 8 in UEFI mode. Some BIOS let you choose legacy or UEFI mode

If you want to keep your Windows 7 the best way is to image it using Macrium Reflect.

In order to do that and not violate the EULA you would need two Windows 7 licenses or purchase a Windows 10 license. (Legally, an upgrade invalidates the license of the previous operating system - though not physically). Looks like you are going to have completely erase the hard drive you are trying to put Windows 8 on and convert it to an MBR type disk.

  7. I called Microsoft up a couple of years ago and ask them that question and I was told by Microsoft that as long as both OS's are not on the Internet at once it was OK. However times change. Example: XP upgrading to Vista. I could have either OS but not both but again times change. I guess I need to call Microsoft up again. Or I could just pay the $119 and get Windows 10 and not worry about this and that.
