Windows 10: Uploading a gaming video to Video editor

Hi,


My son has recorded a video using his Xbox and a capture card. The video has saved to my computer but when I try to upload it to the video editor we keep getting the message :


Choose some other files

These files have properties that can't be read, so we couldn't add them: Jayo's world ep-1 - Copy 6.mkv


I've tried resetting the app but that hasn't solved the problem. Please can you help?

Xbox app crashes during uploading videos

Hi Brett,

We would like to suggest that you use a non third party editor in uploading the video.

We also recommend to run System File Checker it checks for system file corruption. Check the steps below:

• Right-click (or press and hold) the Start button, then select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Enter sfc /scannow (note the space between "sfc" and "/").
