Windows 10: Uploading photos from memory sd card

Problem uploading photos from a memory card sd in Windows 11. No problem for a year – Photos would automatically open when I connected the card reader, I could Select All, Add, Select a Folder, then Import. Now, since about 2 weeks ago early June 2024, when I attempt to upload, Photos appears but the window is blank. If I disconnect the card reader and try again nothing happens except for the beep. I know I can simply copy my files from the card to a folder on my PC using File Explorer, but the automatic launching of Photos the way it used to work was very simple, quick, and convenient.

I understand that you want to transfer files from your SD card to your computer, in which case I suggest the following steps:

1.Right-click on the place you want to create the folder to transfer the files, select "new" and then "folder" put the name you want in the folder.

2. Make sure your product is connected to a computer.

3.Insert a memory card into the memory card slot.

4. Do one of the following to access the files on the memory card from your computer:

5.Select Computer or My Computer.

6. Select the removable disk icon.

7. Select the folder containing the photos you want to transfer.

8. Select the photos you want to transfer and drag them to your computer.

Import photos from SD Card in Photo Gallery using Autoplay

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Type Autoplay Settings in the Search box and press Enter.
• Under Choose Autoplay defaults, select the option required from the drop down list for
  Removable drive and Memory card and close the Window.
• Restart the system and check for status.

I suggest you to try importing the photos using photo app as below and check if it helps.

• In the search box type photo.
• Click on the photo app.
• On the right hand top corner click on import option.
• Before that you need to plug in SD card where you have saved the photos.
