Windows 10: Upon Edge close I am forced to authenticate several apps. Why?

Hello:I am running Windows 10 Home 64 bit using MS Edge Chromium as my preferred browser. Upon Edge close I am forced to authenticate several apps: for example, the Facebook, Twitter or Google mail login says, "I am logging in with a new device. " I am then forced to authenticate even so I do not have two-step verification enabled. This issue occurs on Windows updates, Edge browser updates, and by simply closing the browser. Hence, I am forced to authenticate regularly even though my option to double authenticate is turned off.I have searched the Internet and Edge support pages for a similar

Forcing an app closed

How do you force an app closed on the 5800? I thought there was a way to navigate to an Options->Exit menu item after pressing and holding the Menu key for a list of running apps, but I can't seem to find it any more. Is it just me or did this change in
the latest firmware update?
