Windows 10: Urdu Phonetic Keyboard installed from differently sources disappears from the language bar...

Urdu Phonetic Keyboard installed from differently sources disappears from the language bar when the windows is shut down on my ARM processor laptop. Only windows 11 in built Basic Urdu Keyboard remain visible on the language bar but that key board is of no use to us. Either, make it customisable or change it to keyboard layout like used in "Inpage" application.

Urdu Phonetic Keyboard Installation

I am trying to install Urdu keyboard (Phonetic). But its not available in windows Language Preferences. can anyone guide me how to install it without downloading any third party app.

Adding an input language should also change the keyboard language. Refer
Add and switch input and display language preferences in Windows
10 to know more about the same.



After installing the Urdu language pack, you may use your favorite search engine to look for a downloadable phonetic keyboard file. Save the file to any location, and extract it. Run the setup file and install it.



Once the file is installed, you may try to setup the language again. You will now find an option to set Urdu phonetic layout.

Phonetic Urdu Keyboard

I want to use Phonetic Urdu keyboard in Word, but unfortunately it is NOT giving me an option for phonetic keyboard even though I downloaded it. Shows just the regular keyboard which is not very easy to use.
