Windows 10: Urgent Help Needed – Cannot Access My Microsoft Account

I'm experiencing a critical issue with my Microsoft account, I use this account across multiple devices and recently received the following message:“We have detected unusual activity on your Microsoft account *************, or believe your credentials are at risk. For your security and to ensure only you have access to your account, we will ask you to verify your identity and change your password.”After that, I was signed out from all devices and applications. Now, when I try to sign in, it asks me to enter a code sent to an app — but I can't access the app because I was signed out of it too.W

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

Hello everyone,

I am facing a challenging issue that I hope someone can help me with. Recently, there was a Windows update that seems to have disabled a login option(pin) that I used to rely on. To make matters worse, I've unfortunately forgotten the password for my user account.

I attempted to use the backup recovery method, which is to receive a verification code on my phone. However, I am not receiving any codes, and I have verified that my phone can receive other messages, so it seems like the issue is specifically with the Microsoft account recovery process.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how to regain access to my account without losing any data? I would appreciate any assistance you can provide.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store
