Windows 10: Urgent Help Needed with Missing Data After Windows 11 Switched to Local Account

Hi,I'm facing an issue where Windows 11 unexpectedly switched me to a local account for an unknown reason.Initially, I didn't realize that I had been switched to the local account. I just noticed that my wallpaper has been change, files, and other settings were missing. After investigating, I found where my data was stored and moved it to the desktop of the local account.Later, I restarted the system, and before doing so, I realized I had been using the local account all along. However, I didn’t move the files back to their original location before restarting. After the restart, I was logged

Cannot switch to local account

Refer to these steps to convert Microsoft account into Local User account:

  Click on Windows button, then click on
  Settings.

  Click on Accounts then click on
  Your account.
  
• 
  Click on Sign in with a local account instead.
  
• 
  Following the Online instructions.
  

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to create a new Local user account and check if that helps you.

  Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Control Panel”.

  Click on “User Accounts” and click on “Manage another Account”.

Switch Back to Existing Local Account from Microsoft Account

I already identified that I had tried this, and that it did not allow me to switch back to the original Local Account. The Microsoft Account hijacked the User Name of the original Local Account. When I click "Sign in With a Local Account instead" and enter
the original User Name, Windows 10 won't proceed. The only way to get back to a Local Account is enter a new User Name.

 

Trying to switch from MS account to local account

Mybe you have to set your Windows account password. Not sure at which step are you..
