  1. URGENT! Laptop doesn't recognise any disk drive

So basically it happened to delete by mistake 2 registry files and now the windows doesn't boot up. The only things that I can use are the Bios and windows boot manager which has the cmd that recognises only important files as X:\, windows backup or restore doesn't work, troubleshooter doesn't work, USB doesn't show up when I try to reinstall the windows and diskpart lists no disk.I really need to save some files and don't have a backup on anything, can I get some help?

    :)

Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

    Thanks again!!

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

I ran SeaTools. These are the results:

  4. URGENT! Laptop doesn't recognise any disk drive

    Disk Drive Not Recognised

    Hi Allan,

Sorry if there's been some confusion and I've used the wrong terminology. To confirm, the problem I have is with the DVD Drive in my laptop, only.

I don't get an error message when I put a disk in the drive, it spins but isn't recognised when I open This Computer and doesn't appear as an icon / option to select. I've tested with a game and music CD, still not recognised. With the music CD I've also
tried opening Windows Media Player and it doesn't appear to be recognised by this either as I can't play the music.

    Regards,

    AB
