    Urgent: Lost Screen Recording in snip recorder, After Sudden Crash – How to Recover?


    I was recording a video using the snip function in win-11, But after about 40–50 minutes, the screen recording icon suddenly disappeared. Now, I can't find the video. It was a very important recording for me. How can I recover it?

    Can't screen record with snipping tool.

    When I try to screen record with the snipping tool, it loads for a couple of seconds and then denies me. Any suggestions?

    Can I recover an older recording from snipping tool?

    Hello!

    I recorded a video using the Windows 11 snipping tool. I accidentally closed the preview before I could save it a few days ago, and I haven't been able to recover video. I can recover videos that were recorded on the same day (using LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.ScreenSketch_8wekyb3d8bbwe\TempState), but not videos that are a few days old.



    I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to recover older videos that were not saved.

    I was recording using the snipping tool. For some reason, there is half audio and half no audio in the recording when finished. Can I recover the half part of audio?
