Windows 10: US and UK English appearing although only US is needed

Not sure since when, but apparently both English UK and US appeared on my keyboard layout, it really frustrates me since English US is what I only need. I tried to delete the language pack but apparently it didn't exist in the preferred languages. I tried restarting my computer and at first it worked, but the issue occurred more frequently recently. I also changed the region language from UK to US but the problem still existedThe only reason I can think of is leaving my laptop on for extended periods of time although I don't see how this is really the cause. Please assist me on this problem.

Get Cortana to work in English (UK) for Windows 10

I upgraded to Windows 10, and Cortana doesn’t seem to be available based on the Start Menu:

but when I click the link, it takes me to this page:





which suggests it should be available in the UK, since I've checked

• my language settings are English (UK),
  
• I have the English (UK) language pack installed, and
  
• the speech settings are also set to English (UK).
  

I think this is everything, right?  It certainly ticks the boxes in the Microsoft help article.

Windows Apps appear in non-English on Windows 10

Hi fcflam,

Can you please check if there's an English (UK) installed under Languages, kindly follow these steps:

1. On your keyboard, press Windows + I.
2. Click Time & Language.
3. On the left pane, choose Region & language.
4. Under Languages, check if there's English (UK).
5. Click English (UK) [if it's showing].
6. Hit Set as default.
7. Restart your PC, for the changes to take effect.

Let us know if this will make any difference.

 

In place upgrade does not have English UK

I want to do an In place upgrade for windows 11 but when I try to select the language English UK is not listed. All that is listed is English US and International listed.
