Windows 10: US keyboard layout, can't type left square bracket

Hi, so i came upon an issue when i got my new keyboard with a US layout. I am from Denmark and have been using a danish layout up until now. After switching to the US layout i cannot use the dedicated left square bracket key to type left square bracket. I can hold down shift and type the left curly bracket {. I can also remap the key to something like A and it works fine, but remapping any key to type the left square bracket makes it so that the key does nothing.


ALSO this is not a driver issue i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling my keyboard drivers and it is the same issue across multiple keyboards.

Keyboard automatically typing square brackets randomly

Sr, I have a Windows 10 PC. Last month, I have connected an external PS2 keyboard to my laptop. My laptop was OK till then. But after I disconnecting the external keyboard, my laptop was automatically typing square brackets whenever I go to write something.
The problem is not solved till now. I have reconneted the external keyboard but it didn't fix the problem. I have also scan my PC for viruses with an antivirus software, but the problem has not been solved. So , I am now using my on-screen keyboard, but the
auto typing still ruins me. And one thing I noticed that whenever I restarts my computer, there is a beeping sound. I have also reset my PC and clean installed Windows 10, but the autotyping problem starts after some time, and also the beeping sound when I
restart my computer. I have also uninstalled the keyboard drivers and reinstalled and updated them, but the problem is still there. So, please suggest me how can I fix this big problem?

 

I cant type a square bracket on my extremeley small Asus computer

I need to type brackets for my exam in a couple days and my keyboard has no option for square brackets. is there a setting that allows me to see a way to type this or a setting that changes one of my keys to type that? I just need to type that square bracket
so anyway is fine for me.

It's more likely a corrupted user profile that causing that issue with typing a square bracket. It's juts odd that you've already performed a clean install of Windows 10 Pro, and yet after a day the issue reappear. That said, we suggest that you run the
System File Checker tool. This tool is a utility in Windows that allows your
computer to scan Windows system files for corruptions and restore corrupted files.
