Windows 10: usb 10/100/1000 LAN disappeared

Discus and support usb 10/100/1000 LAN disappeared in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I use a USB/ETHERNET dongle to hardwire comp for internet access.     usb 10/100/1000 LAN disappeared


    I use a USB/ETHERNET dongle to hardwire comp for internet access. I believe i disabled that adapter/port in 'Network and Sharing Center' & don't see it anymore. When I hook it up, it beeps as if Windows recognizes it & then after 3, 4 secs, it beeps again & gives an err. I reset network settings back to factory defaults. Since some point during trouble-shooting, it doesn't give any error after the 2nd beep anymore. It used to show the hardwired LAN connection on system tray but not anymore.

    [WTB][US]   10/100/1000 switches/hubs

    looking for switches and hubs for a LAN party need 12+ ports either a pair of 8s or whatever looking for either 10/100 or 10/100/1000 i'm looking really cheap post if you have ANYTHING!

    10/100 vs 10/100/1000

    10/100 you will get like 5-10MB per second transfers.

    My server with 10/100/1000 gets up to 80MB per second.

    Considering how cheap gigabit hardware is these days DO IT!

    Switch ~ $30 and NIC ~ $15-30

    Good LAN party games?

    Most of my suggestions have already been listed.

    However, I found Swat4 to actually be a pretty fun LAN game, especially at smaller LAN parties.
