Windows 10: USB 3.0 Capture Card Audio Issues

Having issues with the new update and capture card

To understand the issue better, I would like to know do ‘’when you say update’’ do you refer to November update (Windows 10 Version 1511)?

Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. I recommend you to uninstall/reinstall the capture card driver and check. Follow the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device manager.
  
• 
  Locate for the device (Capture card) and click on it to expand.
  
• 
  Right click on the device and click on
  uninstall.
  

Go to the capture card manufacturer website, download and install the latest capture card driver.

Game Capture Audio Issue: Choppy, Muffled Audio

Thanks for your response. I will say that you identified my problem partially, but it is not tied just to OBS. Any application (not just OBS) where I can pull from a capture card is giving me bad audio (i.e. Audacity, even Xbox Game Bar). I tried a screen recording from Xbox Game Bar (linked here). I don't think it's possible for me to get a capture card visual, but I was able to set the audio input to the capture card and that is all we're trying to test. Unfortunately, I still got choppy, muffled audio that is dropping every second or so. I'm guessing this suggests that the issue is a Windows driver of some kind that helps the computer run capture cards?

 

Game Card Capture HDMI/USB

So I am trying to plug in my game capture card, I have 3 different kinds, and none of my streaming programs are detecting any of them. I have tried all 3, many different ways as well as unplugging/rebooting everything. Am i doing something wrong? Is it my computer? I just streamed my switch using one of the game cards on my HP laptop the other night and it worked fine. I just got a new All in one HP desktop and it isn't reading any of the Game Capture Cards. I've tried hdmi port, USB, SS Usb, as well as a new one that uses the USB and plugs directly into the switch (I watched a YT video on it and did the steps exactly like the guy and it still did not work). Is this desktop just not compatible with Game Capture Cards? I also just used HDMI to HDMI directly from the switch to the desktop and obviously that did not work either. Help!
