Windows 10: Usb 3.0 issue-Mixed Reality

When I open mixed reality before plugging in the USB for my HP reverb G2, it displays that my pc meets the requirements and has USB 3.0 but when plugging in the USB to any port an error is triggered stating the USB cable is not connected to a USB 3.0 port. This error occurs in every port. It was functioning perfectly for about a month before this and there was the same error before, but I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling mixed reality portal. When it failed again, a fresh install didn't fix the issue. Is there any software fix to this issue or is it a hardware issue?

I understand that you are facing issues connecting the Lenovo Mixed Reality headset and you get your message “Connect your headset”. We will certainly assist you with this issue.

Usually, we see this message if the device is not connected properly or the Device Manager is unable to load the drivers for the headset.

The use of USB or HDMI extension cables is not officially supported with Windows Mixed Reality headsets. Due to varying resulting signal integrity and bus power between your PC's USB controller and the Mixed Reality headset, the use of such cables
may significantly impact your Mixed Reality experience.

I would suggest you to check the steps under section“I get a message that says "Connect your headset" even though I’ve plugged in my headset”
in
Troubleshooting Windows Mixed Reality.

If you are using adapters you may also want to check the article on
Recommended adapters.

However, the issue could be due to the use of extension cables. Please let us know what happens when you connect the headset without using the extension cables.

Mixed reality usb 3 PCI card

Hi everyone!

My name is Zsolt Tölgyesi and I’m planning to purchase the Lenovo Explorer Mixed Reality Headset. My motherboard(https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3-rev-13#ov)
has two usb3 port but with the Etron EJ168 chips and seams to be not compatible with the mixed reality headset( it has a red x when I run the mixed reality pc check ). I have to buy a pcie usb3 extension card. Since I live in Hungary it would be the best if
I could purchase the card in a local Hungarian store. Can someone help me which card are certainly compatible with the mixed reality headsets from this list:http://www.argep.hu/main.aspx?suche=usb+3.0+pci&sort=preis ?
