Windows 10: Usb 3.0 issue printer now won’t work after update

after ignoring it for ages i finally updated windows 10 to the latest version.


BIG MISTAKE!!


i dont know what happened but i managed to remove windows completely and had to reinstall it.


now everything works fine except my laser printer. My label printer works fine and they use the same cable.


i reinstalled the laser and when i open printers in settings it says “driver unavailable”. The manufacturer ricoh say their drivers are fine to use with the update but im not sure.


i ran a troubleshoot and it came back with usb printing support is an older usb device and might not work with 3.0


before the upgrade all my usb ports were 2.0 in device manager, now they are all 3.0


i googled this and it seems a lot of printers wouldnt work after this update.


im at a loss if how to fix this without buying a new printer...

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

his printer has a built-in print server.

What you need to know what ip is being give to the printer. Perhaps you can print a status sheet from the printer.

Then Go to printers in control panel

add a new printer

local printer attached, uncheck automatically detect and install PnP printer

create a new port, select standard tcp/ip port

a new window should open and enter the ip there where it says printer name or IP address (port name then should be also be filled as you go)

and pretty much follow the rest of the steps, you will need to install the printer drivers.


These steps is the easy, but not the right way.

The right way is to use the network option on the initial screw and search for the printer server...but that can be tricky to configure.

 

my n97 won t charge or connect

when i put a usb on my n97 it won t charge when i put on the computer it won t say nokia pc suite or else it not reading the usb cannot work on my phone plz hel
