  1. USB 3.0 Memory Stick No Longer Detected in Win10 After Update

I am on Windows 10, Version 1909. I have tried to remove from Device Manager and reinstall, etc. to no avail.

Device window only shows "Device". Windows Explorer does not detect the drive. Under "Safely Remove Hardware & Eject Media" in icon tray, there are only three dots "..." which allow for no action to be taken.

KB4549951 Cumulative Update installed on 4/22/20... I believe this "broke" access to my USB drive.

USB drive is readable on other Windows computers prior to this update.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    :)

  4. USB 3.0 Memory Stick No Longer Detected in Win10 After Update

Unable to select 'Action required' for a new Memory Stick - Win10

    Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused with the memory stick.

This issue might have occurred if not tried on other USB ports or if the chipset drivers are not updated.

What is the make/mode of your computer?

I suggest you to try it again on the same USB port or another port. Ensure that the memory stick is connected properly.

Also update your chipset drivers and check.

You may run the hardware and device troubleshooter and check if it fixes the issue.

    • Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

    • Click view all in the left panel.

    • Select ‘Hardware and devices' and follow the on-screen instructions.
Hope it helps. Keep us posted on the memory stick issue. We are happy to help!
