Windows 10: USB 3.0 PCI-e 4 port card stops working after last Windows 10 update

I have a FebSmart 4 Ports USB 3.0 Super Fast 5Gbps PCI ExpressPCIe Expansion Card in my Dell Inspiron 3670. I installed back in June of 2019. It has worked flawlessly up to the update of Windows 10 Home version 2004 which was installed on July of 2020, OS build 19041.388.

Lately I have found that the card stops working and no access to anything that is plugged in to it. I have to reboot to have it show up and the items plugged it to show up again. Never happened before the update, in fact a couple other things went goofy too but I was able to take of those things. Seems to happen at random. I'll go to bed then in the morning it's "off" or go to work and when I get home it's "off". I haven't notice it happening while I'm working or am using the internet.

I tried to get to FebSmart website but this is what comes up. "Resource Limit Is Reached

The website is temporarily unable to service your request as it exceeded resource limit. Please try again later."

Not sure what that's about.

I'm also looking for the box that it came in as I think there was a small CD with drivers on it.


Anyone have any ideas on what I can do and which one of the USB controllers in Device Manager is the FebSmart card? There are 4 USB 2.0 on rear of computer and 2 USB 3.0 on the front. I have 2 mass storage devices plugged in the computers USB and 3 mass storage devices plugged into the FebSmart card.

Are there any supported 4 port, USB 3.0 PCI-e cards available that work with Windows 10?

I have tried 2 different cards that worked under Windows XP and 8.1 but do not work under Win10.

Thanks for the help....Under USB controllers there is/was no yellow flags...?...here are the listed USB items under Universal Serial Bus Controllers....



Will try driver download from manufacturer.....how do I tell which of the listed USB devices is the 4-port add on card...this is a four port card
