USB 3.0 ports stops working after PC come out from Sleep Mode in Windows 10

Hi there,My USB 3.0 ports stop working after the PC come out from Sleep Mode in Windows 10. My System Model name is Acer One 14 Z1-471. Whenever these USB 3.0 ports stop working, USB 3.0 extensible host controller - 1.0 Microsoft in Device Manager shows an exclamation mark. I've tried the following methods to fix it: Disabling and then enabling itUpdating the driverUninstalling and then rebootingUnchecking the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power from USB Hub propertiesDisabling USB selective suspend setting from Power OptionsAll these methods do work but temporarily. Windows 10: USB 3.0 ports fails to work after PC come out from Sleep Mode

I have exactly the same problem as discussed in the thread "Windows 10: USB 3.0 ports fails
to work after PC come out from Sleep Mode
" (which is already close so that I can't reply):

    Quote of the original post:

Windows 10 upgrade complete on Z77X chipset system. Only one issue remains: after entering sleep mode, the USB 3.0 ports on the back panel do not work with USB 3.0 devices upon wake. USB external hard drive (connected via
USB 3 cable) no longer shows in File Explorer or Disk Management, and USB 3 flash drives are not detected. However, USB 2.0 devices plugged into the ports are still recognized.

The 3.0 functionality returns after a Windows restart, but consistently fails after the computer enters and then wakens from sleep mode. Have already worked on USB power options, reinstalled (latest) drivers, etc. No issues
    are apparent in Device Manager.

FWIW, system has two front panel 3.0 ports, and they work normally after sleep mode, but that's a lousy place to plug in an external USB HDD.

The interesting fact is that the affected USB ports are also the one from the Z77 chipset. However there is one major difference:

My Windows system is clean Windows 1709 installation.

And I have read in other forums that Z77/Z77X chipsets are often affected by this problem.

As the only available USB3.0 driver is the one from Microsoft and this seems to be a defect in the driver.

@Microsoft: Please stop implementing dozens of useless features and start fixing the existing bugs. Comparing Windows 7 and 10 the latter a lot slower and has way more bugs...

USB 3.0 ports stops working after PC come out from Sleep Mode in Windows 10

Windows 10: USB 3.0 ports fails to work after PC come out from Sleep Mode

I had already accomplished most of the above, as stated in the original post. Your analysis:

    • Windows doesn't recognize the USB device--yes it does, but only when started, and it's not a USB device issue, it's the USB SuperSpeed (3.0) Hub

    • The driver for the device is faulty--it's a Microsoft driver, and it's been uninstalled/reinstalled to no effect

    • The USB port is defective--It isn't the port, it's the hub that drops out after sleep

    • The device isn't getting enough power supply after coming out of the sleep--it isn't a USB device, it's the hub, and no USB 3.0 devices work on it after sleep mode
The "device" is two "Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub" entries in Device Manager, using the Microsoft driver 10.0.10586.122 from 2/22/16. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the device. They disappear from Device Manager after sleep
mode, and "Scan for hardware changes" does not restore them. I have also tried the option for the devices of unchecking "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in the Power Management tab, which did not fix the problem; they
still disappear after sleep mode. I have also tried toggling the "USB selective suspend setting" in the advanced settings of power options, again to no effect.

The problem is occurring on a machine that was upgraded via "clean install" from Windows 7 to Windows 10 (both 64 bit), and the problem NEVER occurred under Windows 7.

Since the problem didn't occur under Windows 7, and consistently repeats in Windows 10, the problem is NOT hardware. If it's a driver, it's Microsoft's driver, and the hardware troubleshooter doesn't fix it--it just requires
a restart, which always restores the hubs which then "disappear" after sleep mode.

So, do I have to quit using YOUR sleep mode, or give up using USB 3.0 devices, or are you going to fix the Windows 10 problem?
