USB 3.0 Transfer Speed Capped at <1 mb/s After Running Out of Storage.

Hello,I was using a photography program to save a live image stream from USB3 to disk when the program crashed and prompted an error similar to "out of memory, this typically happens when pc storage runs out"Ever since this happened, all of my USB transfer speeds have been typically <1mb/s both for transferring files to external hard drives and streaming with the same camera.I've updated windows, uninstalled and reinstalled USB drivers, and made about 50gb of free space. It's only the USB ports that can't handle fast data transfer, I can move and read large files on the disk at normal speeds

    :)

USB 3.0 Transfer Speed Capped at <1 mb/s After Running Out of Storage.

    Hello,

I was using a photography program to save a live image stream from USB3 to disk when the program crashed and prompted an error similar to "out of memory, this typically happens when pc storage runs out"

Ever since this happened, all of my USB transfer speeds have been typically <1mb/s both for transferring files to external hard drives and streaming with the same camera.

I've updated windows, uninstalled and reinstalled USB drivers, and made about 50gb of free space.

It's only the USB ports that can't handle fast data transfer, I can move and read large files on the disk at normal speeds. I feel like when the computer crashed, windows set a new cap for data transfer speed to USB 1.0 speeds in the BIOS.

Does anyone know if there is a setting I can change to fix this, or the source of the problem?

  3. Slow write speed of transfer

My dell 7577 core I7 1050ti model has a slow transfer speed. I transferred a 5 gigabyte file to an external USB 3.1 Kingston DT50 and I got write speed of 8 MB/s. and the read speed was capped at 21 MB/s although
I used to get at least 80 MB/s read speed. Please help!

USB 3.0 Transfer Speed Capped at <1 mb/s After Running Out of Storage.

USB 3.0 transfer speed drops to 0 only on one port. USB port and external drive are NOT defective.

I have a Dell XPS 13 laptop with two USB 3.0 ports. I connect a Seagate expansion drive to the left USB port and transfer a 4GB test file. It transfers about 1GB at 150MB/s and then transfer speed drops to 0. Then it picks up again after 3-4minutes, then
    drops again intermittently.

I connect the same Seagate drive to the right USB port. The same 4GB file transfers with a constant speed of approximately 150MB/s. Thus the Seagate drive is not defective. Perhaps the left USB port is defective.

I connect a Sandisk 128GB flash drive to the left USB port (that is now suspected defective). It transfers the same 4GB file with constant 130MB/s speed, no speed drops!

    Each step is reproducible 10x.

I am out of my wits here.

USB 3 transfer speed falling after 10 seconds?: So I've had a lot of trouble with USB3 - I've never really had the consistent transfer speed it's supposed to provide.
