Windows 10: USB 5.0 Bluetooth Adapter

I need to remove my onboard Bluetooth adaptor for it to work. Similar to the USB adapter, the onboard adapter displays the same problem and warning a small yellow exclamation triangle and won't function if I plug it in before the machine boots. To reinstall the onboard adapter, I must disconnect or uninstall the USB adapter. Therefore, Windows 11 is essentially interpreting the USB device as new hardware. Without success, I've tried every driver, including a Realtek driver for Windows 11. I have tried setting the Bluetooth services in the Services Ap to "Automatic." Since "upgrading" to Wind

the pin box was same as at top of another of your support queries I googled.

I found that I got round this step ( after I paired with a windows8-0 32bit tablet with bluetooth 4-0 which may have no relevance ) by swapping my isynergy bluetooth 2-0 usb adapter for a Belkin Bluetooth 2-1 usb adapter. The difference being that no PIN
box popped up when pairing and afterwards xb1controller showed up in device manager within the bluetooth tab.

Maybe you could test Bluetooth versions or brands of bluetooth usb adapter. Others probably need to know what the caveats are with a particular adapter, e.g. would my game controller work more smoothly with a BT4.0 adapter or can I use 2 gamepads with BT2-1

Promate Bluetooth™ 4.0 USB Adapter !

Hello Everyone

I have just bought the above mentioned bluetooth adapter but unfortunately cant manage to connect my bluetooth headset with it (does not find the device in pairing mode, keeps searching)! I have downloaded and installed the latest driver for this device from the promate website. Any suggestions?

Bluetooth USB adapter recommendation

Thanks Denis for your input...I remembered I had another Bluetooth USB Adapter so I tried that. That adapter worked perfectly with the controller. I put the original adapter back in. It worked a lot better than yesterday but not as good as the other Bluetooth USB Adapter. I then saw your post.

The computer is almost 5 years old now. I try to check the Device Manager every month or two. I can't even remember the last time I saw a problem there. However, you were right. There was a error there. The error was something like "USB Device not recognized". I found the solution was to first figure out what was causing the error. I then remembered I had bought a new Logitech C920s Pro webcam a couple months ago. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. The error in the Device Manager was now gone.

I am still not 100% sure if the problem is completely fixed. I will have to watch things for a few more weeks to make sure.
