Windows 10: USB Audio Device keeps disconnecting.

System Information: Windows 11, Ryzen 9 5900x, 32GB 4600mhz DDR4 Memory.Hello, I have an issue where I constantly hear a USB Disconnect sound on my pc, yet none of my devices being used are disconnecting. My game freezes occasionally when it happens, I've followed absolutely every tutorial and nothing has worked. However I've narrowed the disconnecting device down to something called "USB Audio Device". I've uninstalled the device, but it just installs itself and starts disconnecting all over again. In Device Manager under 'Audio inputs and outputs' it's displaying as "Speakers 2- USB Audio D

USB Audio device/adapter keeps disconnecting

I have been using USB Audio devices for a while in my Windows 10 Pro 22H2 installation. I have used the Focusrite 2i2 and the Minifuse 2 USB interfaces for audio and as audio input adapters. I keep having the problem of the devices becoming disconnected. I see that the little speaker in my taskbar has a red x in it and I am getting no audio. If I unplug the USB connection and plug it back in, it connects again.

What is going on? Is this Windows? Or is it my HP Elitedesk 800 G3 sff? Since it happens to both audio devices, I don't think they are the problem.

If the audio device has been disabled through BIOS it will give you the installation error since windows will not detect the device. It will also give you the Red Cross when no usb audio devices are connected as there is actually no audio device available for the system at the moment.

Check if the USB socket that it are using the devices in is loosing power causing the disconnections.

I suggest you to Change the USB power management settings and check.

  Open Device Manager.

  Double-click the type USB to change power management settings.

  Right-click the specific device you want, and then click

  On the Power Management tab, change the power management settings.
