Windows 10: usb audio stutter with any overlay and steam in windows 11

only get stutter via usb headsets in windows with any overlay active or with steam open or the xbox app, close steam and open an overlay like discord, shadowplay or anything else and boom same thing, does it with gamebar and its driving me nuts, multiple fresh installs of windows 10 and 11, tried multiple headsets, normal 3.5mm connection or hdmi audio is fine only usb audio.all games run fine all audio in game is fine and outside of game is fine, just overlays, steam and xbox appanyone got a clueall drivers are fully up to date, bios up to datehttps://youtu.be/_b8PCSTEtgc

Japanese IME predictive text appears in seperate window on steam only

It sounds like the issue you are experiencing with Japanese IME predictive text appearing in a separate window on Steam may be related to Steam's compatibility with Windows 11. Here are a few suggestions you can try to resolve the issue:

Update Steam: Make sure that you have the latest version of Steam installed. You can check for updates by clicking on "Steam" in the top left corner of the Steam window, and then clicking on "Check for Steam Client Updates".

Run Steam as administrator: Try running Steam as an administrator to see if this resolves the issue. Right-click on the Steam shortcut or executable, and select "Run as administrator".

Change Steam compatibility mode: Try changing the compatibility mode for Steam to Windows 10 or an earlier version of Windows. Audio driver conflict causing stuttering?

Hi Techhelper89,

Unfortunately, I did the instructions as mentioned in the thread and the stuttering persists. I used the link provided: and the steps requested

I also tried reinstalling the Realtek Audio drivers as suggested by the thread to no avail.

I've also added some links of how the stuttering looks and sounds like to the main post of this thread. I hope it helps identify the issue.

One more thing I noticed after the above steps is that I can boot with Nvidia HD Audio drivers disabled but the stuttering persist. Enabling then disabling "cures" the stuttering for a while. Although, when this is happening while the Nvidia Audio drivers are
disabled (as there is an enable option) the icon doesn't look like one that is normally disabled (with a small circular arrow down icon).
