Windows 10: USB b mp3 player vs. USB c

My computer automatically recognizes some mp3 players but not others. The older mp3 players which connect via USB b open automatically. When I plug in the newer mp3 players USB c I see the information flash on the screen and vanish. I tried "Unhide" and other troubleshooting, but even when I have the settings to show hidden devices, the newer mp3 player does not show up.How can I get those newer mp3 players to display on my computer when hooked up?

1. It is possible that the mp3 player is corrupted, or has no power. Can you confirm that is not the case???
2. Have you tested it in other usb ports?
3. Are other devices working in the same usb ports?
4. How old is the MP3 device?

1. Since when are you facing this issue?
   
2. Are you aware of any changes being made to your PC?
   
3. Have you tried connecting the MP3 player to another PC?
   

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.



Method 1:



Run the USB diagnose tool to repair USB issues. Refer the article on
automatically diagnose and fix Windows USB problems.



Method 2:



Try updating the USB drivers.

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open
   Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for ‘Run’.
   
2. In Run dialog box, type ‘devmgmt.msc’ and hit enter.
   
3. Go to ‘Universal Serial Bus controller’ and expand it.
   
4. Right click on the ‘USB root hub’ and click on
   update drivers.
   
5. Click on Search automatically for updated driver software.
   
6. Restart the PC after the updating of the drivers completes.

Set Boot up first to the drive with hiren bootcd 10.4

the options will pop out after loading the disc choose

boot cd

then the list (step by step)

Next...
Dos....
USB Drivers....
Load USB Drivers with no386.....

Ask you load cd drivers. NO
Ask you load SCSI drivers. NO
Ask you anything NO.
USB driver list comes out. 8 Don't choose anything else.

type
C:\ (that should be your mp3 player if you did it right)

atiflash -i
to list the adapters

atiflash -p -f 0 ???.bin

done.........
