USB-C headphone jack changing way volume slider works

I have been using a USB-C to 3.5mm cable that came with my computer, and everything worked fine.I use my touchpad's four-finger left to right gesture as a volume controller, which is already sensitive. After my old cable broke, I had to buy a new one, and after trying it, I found that using my touchpad to change the volume became extremely sensitive and had some sort of momentum to it that made it very hard to control.Switching the output device to any other makes the touchpad controls behave normally, but switching back to the audio cable makes it extremely sensitive again. The volume up/down b

    Headphones not changing Volume

My Windows laptop just updated to the Windows 10 May Update (1903). After the update, as soon as I plugged in my earbuds into the headphone jack, the volume goes straight to 100, no matter what volume is shown on the actual volume slider. Changing the
volume doesn't do anything, the volume is still at max level. Is there any way to fix this?

  3. Cannot adjust headphone volume when connected with the audio jack

When I have a pair of headphones connected to the audio jack with a wire, the volume slider does nothing. I can open it, slide it around, and it will stay at the exact same level unless brought to 0, which upon doing so will mute all sound. The default
volume is incredibly loud and it makes using headphones impossible. Is there any way to get the slider to function for devices connected via audio jack?

Bluetooth Headphones don't react to Windows 11 Volume Slider

Any bluetooth headphones don't react to the general volume slider. It's not an issue with my headphones, this issue persists with different bluetooth headphones I've tried but wired headphones work as normal.

I can change my volume in specific applications, like I can change the Spotify volume slider and it reacts. I can also adjust specific applications in the windows volume mixer and it works. Specifically the general volume slider does not work unless it's pulled all the way to mute, in which case the sound will actually mute.

The way I access the general volume slider doesn't matter, whether it's through keyboard shortcuts, the taskbar or the actual settings.

Drivers seem to be up to date, my usual headphones are set to default, the troubleshooter doesn't find anything. Neither removing and readding the bluetooth devices, nor just restarting works all the time, sometimes it does, sometimes it's just stuck for a while. The bluetooth support service is running and I have tried restarting it.
