Windows 10: USB-C Monitor no longer works with laptop

I've had an issue where my laptop has very recently stopped working with any monitors which are connected via a thunderbolt connection. I've tested the exact same setup with other laptops and the issue isn't replicated, I've also tested my laptop with other monitor and cable combinations and the exact same issue occurs - my laptop, for whatever reason, is no longer working with any monitors connected by thunderbolt cables. the usb-c port does work as devices such as xbox remote controllers can be connected via the same port and work fine.This first occured about a week ago. Issues while using an external monitor and charging using USB type C port

take a look at my comments.

1. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently? > V 1903 (Build 18362.449)
   
2. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue? > NO, it's a clean Windows System
   
3. Are you using a docking station? > NO!
   
4. Have you tried connecting the external monitor using HDMI connection? > The monitor works with USB-C and HDMI. However, it only works with USB-C if I use the USB-C power supply at the same time. If I only use the USB-C monitor (with battery operation)
   and the battery is full (charged by the USB-C monitor), then the monitor no longer works.

Plug and play USB C monitor not working on laptop

Hi,

I have just purchased a portable monitor which connects via USB C to my HP ProBook laptop.

When I plug the USB in I get a message saying "Try improving the USB connection - DisplayPort connection might not work. Try using a different cable."

I've replaced the cable - no different. I've also tried a USB A to USB C but I get the same message.

I'm running Windows 10 and have heard that sometimes there is an issue with this system and some monitors?

I've tried running diagnostics and everything is working properly apparently.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

usb-c hub and video display

My USB-C HUB no longer displays video. The monitor is recognized I can move file and programs on the monitors but there is no vidio display (used HDMI, DP and vga connetions on the USB-C HUB. This occured after the July Windows 11 update. Any suggestions?
