    USB Causing IRQL_ ...

    Hi,

I use my webcam sparingly and do not leave it plugged in on a regular basis. When plugging or unplugging, I am mindful of not having the the webpage or program open when detaching from the USB slot.

I've enclose my dump file, the problem only occurs when the webcam is connected or unconnected.

Thank you for your valuable assistance

  3. USB causes taskbar not to function

Hello, I recently purchased a new laptop. A Toshiba Satellite with Windows 10 installed.

I use a Logitech trackball (T-BC21) since I don't like using the touch pad, it worked without any problems for about a week, and now I'm having some issues. I turned on my computer yesterday and I was unable to click on anything on the taskbar/shell.

Upon restarting with everything unplugged everything works fine.

But the moment I plug in my mouse, certain things relating to windows stop functioning, if I unplug the mouse and use ctr shift esc to bring up the task manager I can't even click on anything to try and fix it.

Upon restarting I tried what the internet suggested of running powershell as an administrator and typing "Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}. I have tried to check
for driver updates, as well as within the cmd run SFC/scannow.

The computer works fine so long as I use the touchpad but anytime I plug the mouse into any of the USB slots it stops working, the mouse works fine in other computers throughout the household.

Just looking for any help, thanks.

    Hi Terrace29,

The reason why your system crashes when you use your webcam is because the drivers of the webcam are 10 years old.
    Check Creative for updates.

I updated the driver, at least I installed the latest one available from the reference, however still crashes.

Hate to ask for a re-look, however I've done new dump file after a recent crash, I would greatly appreciate another look see.

Clearly getting a new suitable cam is the answer, I'm wondering if there would be any other resort.

Thank you again for you help.Attachment 62994
