Discus and support USB Composite Device keeps waking up my laptop, in device manager there is no option for... in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I check via CMD that its the one that keeps waking my laptop up, but when I check for the Power Management Tab for it in Device Manager, it isn't...     USB Composite Device keeps waking up my laptop, in device manager there is no option for...


    I check via CMD that its the one that keeps waking my laptop up, but when I check for the Power Management Tab for it in Device Manager, it isn't there. I check the other device in the same category Universal Serial Bus Controllers and can confirm they do have the Power Management Tab. The USB Composite Device is a USB Hub.

    How to prevent USB Composite Device from waking up the computer

    I'm having trouble with a certain USB Composite Device waking up my computer when I don't want it to wake up. I have tried all tutorials that I found with Google but none of them solved the problem. Below is a screenshot that should contain all the relevant info. I would appreciate if someone could give me a hint or suggestion how to prevent this device from waking up the computer. I can't disable wake timers completely because the Ethernet device has to be able to wake up the computer.

    USB composite device "driver error"

    USB composite device "driver error" is appearing in device manager. Update Driver Software does not correct problem. Any suggestions?

    How to prevent USB Composite Device from waking up the computer

    Thanks for your reply. It seems that my system supports only S3 state and not he Modern Standby (S0) so this is not the culprit. Maybe it's just like you said that the hardware manufacturer (Flirc) haven't provided the option to toggle "Allow this device to wake the computer from sleep" checkbox. I guess the only option is to contact Flirc and hope they could add this via driver / firmware update.
