Windows 10: USB Controller Keeps Disconnecting

I just started having this problem recently, my USB gamepad just randomly disconnects sometimes. Sometimes it takes an hour or two, sometimes 15 minutes. The worst part is I can't seem to reconnect it without restarting my computer, even if I restart the game I was playing, the controller does not seem to resume functioning, even if I unplug the controller and plug it back in. I read some solutions online, some saying it might be an issue with Steam, some with the controller, but nothing I've done seems to work... It is a cheap controller, so maybe it's nearing the end of it's life, but if th

Xbox 360 controller keeps connecting/disconnecting

My xbox controller keeps connecting/disconnecting, I hear the audio notification from Windows 10 that it's connected then disconnected constantly. I'm trying to play rocket league but my controller keeps going on/off. I've tried different ports front and rear on my PC and disabling USB power saving and selective suspend settings. The controller itself is fine, I swapped with my brother, mine stays connected on his, his on mine has the same problem. Any ideas?

I suggest you to Change the USB power management settings and check.

To add more clarity in the last suggestions, I would suggest you to reinstall the USB controller drivers and check if it helps in fixing the issue.

Disconnect any USB devices attached to the system (except mouse and keyboard) and remove the USB controllers. Reinstall the controller drivers and check if the issue persists.

Refer to the following steps:

• Press Windows key+ X, click Device Manager.
• In the list of hardware categories, find and expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
• Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click
  Uninstall to remove them one at a time.
• Restart the computer, and let the USB controllers get reinstalled.
• Plug in the removable USB device, and then test to make sure that the issue is resolved.
