    USB device access denied


    Hi


    After I cloned my OS to SSD, I am not able to access any USB drives in any of the USB slots. I am getting an error access is denied. When I run chkdsk in CMD admin mode , I get the following error:


    Access Denied as you do not have sufficient privileges or

    the disk may be locked by another process.

    You have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode

    and make sure the disk is unlocked.

    I do not know which button I punched but my USB's are not accessible. Ex: G:\not accessible access is denied
    All suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Thank you, I've tried the steps, now I've got it working for the first 1 minute after the boot-up and after the minute it goes back to access denied error. When I tried to check for the security tab on the properties of the USB when connected it didn't
    have the security tab and instead it had 'ReadyBoost'. Can this be the problem?
