Windows 10: USB Device not recognized by Boot Manager, Locked out of UEFI Settings - help needed!

Hi everyone, I yesterday created a windows 10 ISO and made it bootable via another Desktop, the USB was recognized by my Chromebook, the Desktop I created the USB on and it was even recognized on my Laptop which I am locked out of by "Reset Password" Option, that's how the bootable USB was recognized on my locked out Laptop. I tried to boot from the USB Using "Use a device" option, and choosing "EFI USB Device" it said "System doesn't have any USB Boot option. Please select other boot option in Boot Manager Menu.", I pressed "Enter" and in Boot Manager, the USB wasn't showing, only "Windows Bo

UEFI does not recognize USB Boot drive

Hi. I am trying to re-install Windows 10 (Version not sure) from USB flash drive on Lenovo Ideapad 100s. The boot drive was configured with MS Media Creation Tool. I can enter UEFI/BIOS with the Novu button in the Boot Option Menu but the flash drive is not recognized under EFI Boot Devices sub menu. I have disabled Secure Boot in the Setup menu as suggested on another website but to no avail. When I select EFI USB Device sub menu under the Boot Option Menu the boot drive is accessed and installation commences to the first screen but as soon as the installation starts the keyboard is disabled. I have tried using a USB keyboard - no success.
BitLocker locked my notebook and I can't locate the key ....... looked evrywhere.....I think.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

 

USB Device Not Recognized (Malfunctioned)

Just had this problem recently, a cmos clear corrected it. One item you can check to see is if the bios recognizes anything by loading its "boot from" menu and checking for any USB mass storage listed.

In addition, we suggest that you turn off the notifications from the USB by following these steps:

• Open Settings by typing "settings" in Cortana's search box.
• Click on Devices.
• Locate USB and toggle the switch to Off.
