Windows 10: USB device not recognized error but USB port functioning normally.

I'm getting the error:USB device not recognized. The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it.However, the USB device works fine on the USB port that was used.Additionally, I'm suddenly getting both camera and microphone not working. They had been working fine.The error message when using zoom is: Unable to detect a camera or microphone. Please check your device and try again.I've checked the camera and microphone connections.I'm on a desktop computer using Windows10.Many thanks for any assistance.

USB port recognizing devices

Hello,

I've been through all the troubleshooting pages on USB ports not recognizing USB devices, but none of it worked. The strange thing is, if I connect a USB device to one of the ports, the 'recognizing sound' is audible. But, no automatic pop-up and no divice
is visible in explorer. When I look to safely remove the device, this function is not listed among the icons in the taskbar. When I remove the device again the sound for removal is audible.

Who can help me to get my computer to 'read' the device again?

I am facing a problem. Even if I plug in my pen drive into my computer, then my computer is not reading it. I am getting the error message "USB device not recognized"?

• If so, was it detected?
• Did you receive any error messages?
