My hyperx pulsefire haste wireless and rk61 turn on the rgb when I plug them in but do absolutely nothing. When I restart my computer they start working again but if I unplug them and plug them back in they stop working again.I've already tried updating drivers, uninstalling usb devices, and my keyboard and mouse work fine on other devices.my device is an acer nitro 5 AN515-55 and I'm using windows 11

  3. USB devices not working after Device Manager spring clean

The USB ports started failing intermittently again and then permanently.

Reinstalled 1703 again and that fixed it for a while then they started failing again.

When I plug in any peripheral it shows up in device manager with the exclamation mark.

    I right-click 'update driver'
    Choose 'browse my computer...'
'Let me pick from a list of...'
    Select the best candidate

Then the device will work. Until it is unplugged and plugged in again...

Then we are back to square one for that device.

Are there any suggestions for kicking the USB hub back to life so it recognises ordinary USB devices like mouses and keyboards without a manual driver update?

USB devices do not work after upgrading to Windows 10

We are having a similar problem after upgrading a surface pro 3 to Windows10. We have a workaround which may be helpful.

We noticed that whenever a USB device is plugged in for the first time it appears in the Device Manager under "Other Devices".

    • Right click the device name and disable the device.
    • Unplug from the USB port and plug back in.
    • Right click the device name and enable the device.
Device Manager then knows that it is either a mouse, printer or external drive and moves it to the correct category and the device works..... until unplugged that is.

Repeat steps above and it works.

Cumbersome, but it works for us.
