Windows 10: USB Drive Appears Briefly Then Disappears in Windows

Description:When I insert my USB drive into my computer, it shows up in File Explorer for a second but then disappears. I’ve tried the following troubleshooting steps:Changing the drive letter assignment in Disk Management.Updating USB drivers in Device Manager.Here’s some additional information:USB Drive: Anker USB purchased from Amazon with a memory card.I’ve also tested the USB on another computer, and the issue persists. Installing windows off of a USB stick

Step By Step from vista:
From admin cmd prompt

1. diskpart
1a. list disk
2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk

 

laptop DVD drive not appearing on windows?

Well my cousin is coming down soon with his laptop to get his DVD drive fixed because on my computers his DVD drive isn't appeared on the list,he can eject his DVD drive but it doesn't appear on windows..anyone know how to fix this?? would entering bios help?? would i be able to format it?
