  1. USB Drive not Accessible via windows explorer

For the last few days i am encountering a strange problem.

I am trying to plug in various USB devices into my computer.

it show the drive letter & also is visible in disk management but when i try to access it it shows access denied.

but when i try to access same devices in other computers it is accessible

    1. i have USB registry which enables read/write access

    2. changed letter from disk management that too didn't work

    3. tried accessing via explorer it is just usb icon & when i try to open it shows access denied

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

**SOLVED**USB drives not appearing in windows explorer? help please

can you do a scan for viruses and run a SMART scan on your HDD?

    I reccomend
    Hitman or EEK

and pretty much any HDD program will do but I primarily use gsmart or crystal

also do the disks show up in disk management?

only reason i suggest the smart data is because of the slow access time of explorer.

I suggest the virus scan because i had to deal with a system several months ago that had a trojan that modified files and prevented usb devices from loading.

I suggest disk manager because using bench machines for data pulls from HDDs would allocate all of my drive letters and windows stopped issuing them even after the drive was removed and there is a way to clear them.
