Windows 10: USB drive wd my passport 0740 onto win11 does not appear naturally. Worked ok before 22H2.

Dear Support person, hello.USB drive wd my passport 0740 connected into win11 does not appear naturally as a drive. Worked ok before 22H2. The pass protected wd CD Drive Unlocker works fine & the icon appears, but the actual drive icon does not. Other than that it works as usual.Files can be viewed after using a disk partition tool ms or 3rd party but never needed before. The Device drivers for wd are 2006 but it says "up to date". Sometimes shows a core isolation error for driver wdcsam64.sys security memory integrity setting - changing that not an option. The usb is MBR but that s

I've completed all of the same steps you provided to Crabs. Same WD Passport model 0740. My new computer is an XPS 8900 with Windows 10 home. The drive has all the latest drivers as well. I can plug into an older DELL running Windows 7 Pro and it works.

Well, it was working until I updated to Windows 10 Pro and is doing the same thing as the new computer....

Suggestions???

My inspiron desktop is running very low on storage. i ordered a new system, but wanted to save selected files from the old computer to send to my new system. i had a wd 1 tb passport 0740 i had used to backup movies when i had dish. after i changed to
fios, i could not see the movies any longer anyhow, so thought i could use the passport for this purpose. i ran into a problem however: i cannot find it to select to save files to. when i select either "save as" or "send to,"

the passport is not an option.

i researched the problem here and on other sites also. i tried most of the "fixes " suggested. i made sure i had the software on the old computer and checked that the driver was updated. The devise blue light is on and it whirls. i tried other ports
and there was no change. Under devices and printers, the passport shows on the hardware tab that it is working properly and is a storage devise. On the devise manager, it shows up under disk drives as "wd my passport 0740 usb devise." it also shows up at
the very bottom of the list under the category "wd drive management devise". i downloaded easeUS partion master and got totally lost trying to figure out how to do just simple file transfers rather than sending over my entire hard drive, which i fear would
quickly put me in the same problem i have with my old inspiron.

am i missing something? is it possible to send files a folder or document or music file to the passport and if so, how is it done? i have spent the better portion of 3 very long days trying to figure out what seems should be an easy thing to do. it was
a piece of cake to save movies to it when i had dish.
