Windows 10: Usb flash drive present on both Device manger and File explorer after Power restart but...

USB flash drive present on both Device manger and File explorer after a Power Restart but disappears once drive is removed and re-inserted. Does not show after Power Shutdown, but does reappear after Power Restart. This cycle repeats. Has only started after running Window updates. There are no pending restarts according to Windows Updates trouble shooter. Upon start-up following a Power Restart, When inserting the flash drive, it is visible in File Explorer and in Device manager," USB mass storage" properties reports " device is working properly". USB flash drive recongition

When I connect a USB flash drive to my computer, the light on the flash drive blinks but there is no response in Window 11. This happens with all the flash drives I have connected, When the flash drive inserted, there is no popup window, there is not
entry in File Explorer. I check in the device manger. There are three entries for USB input device under Human Interface devices. The properly window for all three devices shows "This device is working properly". Please advise on how to resolve this.

I searched the Microsoft community and support.microsoft.com and could find nothing that applied.

USB Flash Drive saying not formatted..?

Hi,

I have a Memorex Poker Chip USB Flash Drive 1GB, and It shows up fine on one PC as "Poker Chip" in explore, and I can transfer files... but on my other PC (the one I'm on now..specs in profile) it's listed only as H: Removable Disk, and when I click on it, it says: "The Device is not formatted, would you like to format it now? (Y/N). Why would it be recognized on one PC, but the not the other? How come the other PC didn't need it formatted? When I click yes to format it, it says: "Windows was unable to complete the format"

I went to the BIOS and USB 2.0 is enabled. And Device Manager does list it as a Memorex Poker Chip..
