My situation is that a week ago, probably a bit more, I connected my USB to a computer at my university; the computer couldn't read it, and the computer didn't work while the USB was connected; I proceeded to eject, and after I removed, the laptop worked fine. Then I tried to connect to my computer, which doesn't have the settings that my university computer has and let me work on the USB and see what the problem was. Well, I connect my USB to my laptop. I make the connected sound that my computer recognizes, but, first, my Norton antivirus software doesn't start the automatic scan for USB, an

USB Flash drive made bootable

Hi Nelson,

Check if there is any slide switch on the side that provides write protection. It show's a closed and open lock on each side. We suggest to follow these steps below:

• Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port.
• Click Start, type devmgmt.msc in the Search textbox and press Enter.
• Find Disk Drives and expand it.
• Find the USB flash drive you want to format, and double-click it. It opens the
  Properties dialog box.
• Click Policies tab.
• By default, the Optimize for quick removal option selected, switch it to Optimize for performance and then press
  OK.
• Now open Computer. Right click on the USB Flash Drive and select Format. The Format dialog box now appears.
• Select NTFS in the File System field.
• Press Start and wait while the process will be completed.

You can also connect the USB drive on a different computer and try formatting.

Gigabyte Mobo not booting from usb

Will try this, I was currently read that article only.

But why didnt the kespersky rescue USB work ?, it was Fat32.
But I definitely will try the method listed in that article and will then use the official kespersky tool for making rescue disk and try again.
