  2. I am using hard disk casing of lapcare having usb 3.0 but in my laptop the hd is detected in usb 2.0 but not in usb 3.0

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

It seems like you're encountering issues with your Lapcare hard disk casing when connected to a USB 3.0 port on your laptop. Here are some steps to troubleshoot this problem:

    1. Check USB Port:

    • Ensure that the USB 3.0 port on your laptop is functioning correctly. Test it with other USB 3.0 devices to confirm if it's an issue specific to the port.
    2. Power Supply:

    • Some external hard drives require additional power when connected to USB 3.0 ports. Ensure that your Lapcare casing is receiving enough power. If it has a separate power adapter, connect it.
    3. USB Hub or Extension:

    • If you are using a USB hub or extension cable, it might not be compatible with USB 3.0 speeds. Try connecting the hard disk casing directly to a USB 3.0 port on your laptop.
    4. USB 3.0 Driver Installation:

    • In some cases, external hard drive casings may require specific drivers for USB 3.0 functionality. Check the Lapcare website or documentation to see if there are any driver updates or specific instructions for USB 3.0 usage.
    5. Device Manager Check:

    • Open the Device Manager on your laptop and expand the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section. Look for any yellow exclamation marks or error messages associated with USB controllers. If you find any issues, try updating or reinstalling the drivers.
    6. BIOS/UEFI Settings:

    • Check your laptop's BIOS/UEFI settings for any USB-related settings. Ensure that USB 3.0 is enabled and configured correctly in the BIOS/UEFI.
    7. Test on Another Computer:

    • To further isolate the issue, connect your Lapcare hard disk casing to another computer with USB 3.0 ports to see if it's detected there. This will help determine if the problem is with the casing or your laptop.
    8. Manufacturer Support: - If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Lapcare's customer support for specific guidance and troubleshooting steps tailored to their product.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Thank you.

    Best regards
