Windows 10: usb hard disk connection problem

recently i have windows explorer crashing when i connect a usb hard disk i 've tried with differents ones and each time it is the same thing but if i connect it before power on the computer it works

:)

 

I am using hard disk casing of lapcare having usb 3.0 but in my laptop the hd is detected in usb 2.0 but not in usb 3.0

External Hard disk contents are not visible.

For us to narrow down your concern with your external hard disk, we would like to know the following:

• Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g., updates, software installation)?
• To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• Do you hear any clicking sound when connecting your hard disk?

USB Hard Disk Drive not recognised

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it fixes the issue.

Method 1: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select View all on the top left corner.
  
• 
  Click Hardware and Devices.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.
  

Method 2

I suggest you to check if the disk is listed in Disk management utility. If it is listed, run an error check to see if there are any corrupted files causing this issue.
Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X, select
  Disk management.
  
• 
  Right click on the drive and select properties.
  
• 
  Under tools tab, click on “Check” button under Error Check.
  

Method 3: Uninstall and reinstall USB drivers

Follow the steps to uninstall the USB drivers:

• 
  Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
  
• 
  In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers".
  
•
