Windows 10: USB Headphones work but Sound Control Panel doesn't show the "sound-meter" thingy rising up...

Discus and support USB Headphones work but Sound Control Panel doesn't show the "sound-meter" thingy rising up... in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; I have a Redgear Cosmo 7.1 USB Headset - they work perfectly.     USB Headphones work but Sound Control Panel doesn't show the "sound-meter" thingy rising up...


    I have a Redgear Cosmo 7.1 USB Headset - they work perfectly. But in the Sound control panel , they are recognized as speakers and the bars next to it doesn't work even when the headphones are working perfectly. The bars work perfectly when I am using my monitor's in-built speakers. This leads to me having some issues with audio-visualizing widgets not working.

    I have the headphone's drivers installed.

    Headphone, earphone and microphone are not in Sound Control Panel.

    Windows 10 64 bit

    Stereo mix and line & mic at front or rear panel don't work too.

    I somehow managed to get my headphone to play the same thing as my speaker at the same time but that's as far as i got.

    No sound from headphones but speakers work.


    Plug in the headphones. Click on the start icon and start type "sound". Open the sound control panel that appears at the top of the list. Do you have an entry in the list of sound devices that looks like it would be for the headphones?
