  1. USB headset driver now "Lync Audio" not "Logitech," but no sound

I have a Logitech USB headset that had been working fine until we went on vacation in December; Windows 10 64 bit on two machines, multiple USB jacks, it all worked great. Came back from vacation, and Windows now says that instead of that device being a "Logitech headset" it is a "Lync Audio Device Headset earphone", and NO sound output occurs.

I've tried it on two machines, multiple USB ports on the laptops, on docking stations, on monitors, and.... no sound output. Microphone is detected and used by Skype just fine, but, no sound output.

    Help?

    thanks!

    :)

  2. Logitech Headset suddenly not recognized.

Wired USB Logitech Headset was working well until about ten days ago. When plugged in it began setting up " Lync Audio Device" resulting in no sound at all. Two sessions with MS virtual agents failed to find the issue. H390 model headset. Asus X551MA.
There are no drivers to download from the device manufacturer's site. Anyone have suggestions?

Logitech USB headset not working suddenly

I have had a Logitech USB headset for a few months now. I have had no problems until now. Today, I logged into my computer, to find that my audio is not coming through my headset. SO, i pulled out the USB, and put it back in, then the original name of the
headset changed (i do not remember the name) to lync audio device and still no sound is coming through. I've also noticed that the red light that indicates ether or not my mic on the headset is muted has dimmed. it is not as visible as it used to be. I have
been very careful with the wires that connect my headset to my computer, and they are out of the way from any disruption. So to sum

    -headset not working

-name of device has changed to lync audio device on my computer

    -Mute indicator light has dimmed

-Microphone is receiving sound, but is not carrying it (not talking on discord for example)

    -have tried troubleshooting

    -have tried restarting, uninstalling etc.

-have made it the default device on both the playback tab and communications tab.

    -have disabled enhancements (troubleshooter recommended)

I am unsure if windows updated last night (2/26/17), not sure if that could cause problems.
