Windows 10: USB HID Keyboard Report on Plugin/Configuration

The desire is to have a keyboard report sent when a key is held on Plugin for ESD reasons and BIOs boot support. So if a key is held while plugging in it needs to be reported and recognized by the PC.I currently have it setup to keyscan and then send the interrupt IN report as soon as the USB is in the configured state and the HID endpoint is idle.. The report appears to be sent out appropriately after Set Config, Set Idle, and Get Report Desc is recieved from the PC as seen from Bus Hound logs, but the key isn't being properly handled by the PC. I can tell that it isn't being handled b

I suggest you to follow the steps below to configure the keyboard layout:

• 
  Open Settings and click on Time and Language.
  
• 
  Click on Region and Language.
  
• 
  Add the Country and click on add a language and select the language of your choice.
  
• 
  This will take time to download the pack.
  
• 
  Once this is done, Press Windows key + Space and press Space key to choose the keyboard layout.

Windows 10 restart fails to initialize HID keyboard and mouse with usb connection

Exploring further with devcon it looks as though the issue is with the HID Keyboard Device and HID Mouse Device drivers.

Devcon status shows the drivers are running even after restart, but the Logitech usb connection led light is not on and remains off until the usb connection is removed and reinserted. (As described in the opening post of this thread.) And not an issue with
Windows 7.

Any suggestions?

Method 1: Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your mouse. Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter

Method 2.

Try updating the latest keyboard devices from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the Keyboard drivers:

a. Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

b. Expand the Keyboard driver.

c. Right-click on the HID Keyboard Device and click on Update driver software.

d. Restart the computer and check.
