Windows 10: USB hub with an ethernet port does not work on games

Hey, when i try to connect to the internet with an ethernet cable via using a usb hub with ethernet port cuz my laptop does not have a ethernet port any game i try is not loading at all. Is the usb hub making the problem or something else is there any way to solve this to connect to the internet with ethernet cabl?

I got miniSUB to normal USB adapter with the tablet. I was thinking of buying this one: Trust.com - Vecco Mini 4 Port USB 2.0 Hub

I can get it cheaper where I work and it's very compact.

If you're only using this when the tablet is parked, might be better to buy one of the bigger powered USB hubs.
