Windows 10: USB icon has vanished from the hidden icons box

Discus and support USB icon has vanished from the hidden icons box in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; USB icon has vanished from the hidden icons box on my Windows 10 64-bit PC.     USB icon has vanished from the hidden icons box on my Windows 10 64-bit PC. Why has it gone and how do I restore it please

    Desktop Icons vanished


    To : DrAS,

    Just to elaborate what Berton has told you..........that you are on Tablet Mode.
    If it is what Berton has suggested, you can have your desktop back. Follow steps below................
    Bottom right next to Time, there is a notification icon > click it > click Tablet mode.
    You should have your desktop back.

    Show hidden icons

    This suggestion would work. However consider the following two items.

    1st I'd prefer to have selected icons remain hidden so as not to crowd out the select few I have on the taskbar, and

    2nd if the loading of the last many items in the 'hidden icon box' resulted in a 'closing of the box' that would be a key in knowing everything is good to go which is the prime reason for the suggested selection at boot.

    How to make a Uber Hidden Folder

    • Make a new folder.
    • Change the icon to a blank icon. No icon should appear
    • Rename the folder to a blank by pressing "alt + 255." (NOTE: Press 255 on the numpad) No text should appear.
    • Your done! It is uber hidden. *Big Grin USB icon has vanished from the hidden icons box :D
